Hi! I’m Suzanne (Sue/Suz/Suus, take your pick), and am a former postdoctoral researcher in human-centered AI at the University of Hamburg (but on sick leave since ’22 until I have recovered from long COVID). My scientific interest lies in human perception of AI and its implications for how AI for various users and domains should be designed. I have researched topics ranging from diversity in news recommendations and machine ethics to trust in artificial intelligence. As technology shapes our future, I’m a firm believer in a multidisciplinary and holistic approach to (interaction with) technology.
